A warm welcome
to the Hirsch

Our dream was a house of our own — a small hotel in a quiet setting, run with heart and soul.

Not a big hotel. Not mass tourism. A family-run house instead, where you are welcomed in person and can finally come to rest.

In the summer of 2016 we reopened the traditional Hirsch in the Heimbach valley. Since then we have hosted tradespeople, holidaymakers and business travellers who value quiet, nature and personal care. Right next to the historic bridge with its two stone arches lies our garden — in good weather a safe playground for children and a place to breathe for everyone else.

If you are looking for accommodation in the Black Forest, you will find us in Fluorn-Winzeln between Rottweil and Alpirsbach — close enough to the A81 for a short drive, far enough away for a quiet night.

With all our heart — the Ardelean family Florin, Oana, Luiza, Beatrice and Cristian

What guests say about the Hirsch

8.6 rating on Booking.com

Three things come up most often in what our guests write: how quiet the nights are, how clean the rooms are, and that breakfast is on the table at 5:30 am when the early shift is waiting.

We are glad about every piece of feedback — by phone or e-mail too.

Rick and I decided not to book any hotel at the black forest for a day and see what and where the Good Lord would take us. […] Oana and Florin were very welcoming, they showed us the room first, no pressure from them, the room is clean and comfortable. […] We left late for we enjoyed the country walk and the conversations we had with Oana and Florin in their garden.

Fantastic hotel with a very friendly and helpful owner! I arrived spontaneously by bike in the evening, and my room was already ready after I had called ahead. […] The breakfast buffet had everything you need to get a great start to your cycling trip. It was topped off with a freshly made omelet.

Very friendly and attentive service! Simple, but beautifully and peacefully situated. Ideal for those who aren’t just looking for luxury, but simply a quiet getaway in nature to unwind. A very fond memory.

A lovely little hotel in a quiet, secluded spot with secure parking. […] It’s very clean and the bedding is excellent. Breakfast is fantastic: fruit juice, coffee, fried eggs, cold cuts, cheese, yogurt, pretzels, and more.
