Vogtsbauernhof

The open-air museum in Gutach shows how people really lived and worked in the Black Forest: original farmhouses, mills and workshops, taken apart piece by piece and rebuilt here.

Titisee & Feldberg

The best-known lake in the High Black Forest, ringed by woodland and walking trails. From there it is not far to the Feldberg — the highest mountain in Germany outside the Alps.

Right on the doorstep

For the short walks you do not need the car at all: the local recreation area along the Heimbach starts at the garden gate, and hiking and cycling paths run right past the house. Anyone staying here as a contractor in Fluorn during the week has a quiet round to walk after work.
